The first phase of the development comprises the demolition of the existing Mosque and Community building.

The second phase of the development comprises the new build construction of a Mosque, Imambara, Funeral Parlour, Admin Building, Caretakers accommodation and car parking.

Halligan Consulting Engineers have assisted in the analysis of M&E services requirements with the Client, production of “Design” SAP and “Design” SBEM calculations to confirm compliance with current Building Regulations, production of performance specifications & tender drawings and tender reviews with the negotiating contractors.

During the next phase of works we shall review the sub-contractor designs to ensure compliance with the Employers requirements documents and carry out site inspections and witness testing and commissioning prior to handover.

The mechanical services VRF heating & cooling to main occupied areas, mechanical supply & extract ventilation to main occupied areas, hot and cold water to wash room facilities, toilets and kitchen, drainage and a BMS controls system to monitor the whole site.

The electrical services comprise small power, lighting, fire alarm system, AV/TV/Data, access control, CCTV system, external lighting, Photovoltaic array and lightning protection.

Halligan Associates were appointed by Western Power Distribution (WPD), to provide Mechanical & Electrical Consultancy services for their new depot refurbishment programme. In 2011 WPD purchased Central Networks, the main electrical Distribution operator in the West and East Midlands. WPD’s philosophy is to provide small local distribution depots to cover their regions, this differs to Central Networks existing set up.
